Higher charges by RBS and Paypal
Author: Sam JonesDate: 09 Feb 2010
Those of you who use paypal will be aware of the charges they implement when executing transactions. Unfortunately Paypal have increased our charges and we are unable to consume the entire cost of these charges.
Therefore we have no option but to pass a proportionate cost on to our members. The charges will be as follows:
65p for cheque payments and 20p plus 3.4% for paypal payments.
However, any member willing to pay by internet or telephone banking (via their own bank) can do so FOR FREE !!!
We sincerely apologise for these charges, and rest assured are doing our best to consume as much of the charges as possible.
There will soon be a section in your preferences for you to choose your default payment method. This method will be set to cheque initially (as everyone has a cheque book and is able to pay by cheque)- but watch this space for you to know when you will be able to amend your preferences to your own chosen default.
Many thanks.
